Just came upon this thread about Washburn.......a man named Washburn had his photo hanging in the Holden Hospital, Holden, Massachusetts. I assume he founded or helped found the hospital. Later, his son (or grandson), Channing Washburn, was my doctor in Paxton, Mass. After he retired, Channing moved to Bar Harbor, Maine, where he passed away not too long ago.
