Who was this author of this? I have Wallis's in my family & some
went to Maine in the early 1800s from N.B.

There was an unrelated Wallis family that came up the CT. River
in the 1700s? & is remembered by Wallis Lake in NH near the
Quebec border.

The town of Pohenegamook is in Quebec above Fort Fairfield, ME.
After driving through it, I had to say it over and over for an
hour before I could say it without reading it.<g> Seems to me
that Chinquasabamtook is a 2hr. word.
