This is a "shot in the dark" at best, but I have one ancestor shown by my
source information as having been married in Bounaborough, Maine in 1795.
Only problem is, I can find no such place name anywhere. No county name,
nothing. Does this name sound familiar to anyone out there?

I have managed to convince myself that it is simply spelled incorrectly by
my source, but I have tried every imaginable spelling and/or search engine I
can come up with, and have come up with absolutely nothing that will shed
any light on this mystery. Since Maine was part of Massachusetts then, I
even looked there as well, but nothing at all. My old stand-by Google
search has also not turned up one single hit using that spelling, so if it
rings any bells with anyone out there I would be grateful if you would let
me know.
