Subject: [MAINE] PERKINS, Andrew of York, ME. - goes missing in 1866

About a year ago, James Constance was posting collected articles on a NS site from each day's issue of the newspaper in Halifax, N.S. Following is an extract from it. At the time of posting, I didn't know if the Perkins mentioned was "one of mine." I now don't think he was, but to be sure, can anyone identify him?
Thank you,
Bill

PROVINCIAL NEWS.
Nova Scotians Missing from a Wreck. -- The Schr
Lady Franklin, Olson, which arrived at Gloucester from
Georges, reports that on last Tuesday morning, when
about twenty miles east of Cashe's, saw a schooner
with mainsail and jib set, and a flag hoisted union
down, found her to be the Maggie McLean, of St. John,
N. B. lumber loaded and abandoned. Her papers stated
that she had cleared from that port for Boston, on the
6th inst. At the request of the crew, concluded to try
and bring her in. Four of the men, named Shils of
Norway, Murdock Finlayson, of Guysboro, N. S.;
Roderick McDonald, of Straits of Canso, and Andrew
Perkins, of York, Me, went on board for the purpose of
working the vessel. ... Next morning he ran down to
her, found the boats gone and no one on board, and was
obliged to come in without them. Why the men should
leave the wreck is a mystery. ... There are hopes that
they may have been picked up, but up to the present
writing nothing has been heard of them, and there
friends are exceedingly anxious. The facts were stated
to Capt. Frazer of the revenue cutter Pawtucket, and
Capt. Webster of the Mahoney; which were lying in the
harbour, and both vessels have started on a cruise in
search of the missing men.
