Date: Tue, 1 Apr 2008 16:08:49 EDT

One of the older Massachusetts papers is the Quincy-published Patriot
Ledger. Since 1837 this daily newspaper has served the South Shore, including
Quincy and Braintree. You should know that for $1.00 per request you can contact
the Thomas Crane Public Library in Quincy and they will search the newspaper
and supply you with a copy of the obituary/death notice. Send your request
Attention: Reference Department, 40 Washington St., Quincy MA 02169. They
require you to list the name of the deceased, death date, and city for each
requested obituary. The librarian will search one week from the date of death.
