ARRRGGHHH! You missed me by a day Nancy. I spent yesterday afternoon at
Lowell's Pollard Memorial Library, tracing my Great Aunt's residences using
City Directories. They have a complete set of city directories from
the mid-1800's to the present day.

The library has plenty of useful genealogy data for the city of Lowell.

One note, the main library building next to City Hall is closed
for renovations. The library is in a temporary location at
33 Middle St. which is in the middle of the restored "cobblestone
street" section of downtown. I used the free parking at the
Lowell National Historical Park visitor's center. The library
was a block and a half walk from the front door.

P.S. In Lowell, I'm Researching my Great Aunt, Annie (HALPIN) MULLANEY,
b. about 1874 in Ireland, m. John J. MULLANEY, d. 15 Dec 1940. And
a "mystery" person, Kate HALPIN, b. about 1850 in Ireland, never married,
d. 19 Oct 1900. Both are buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Lowell.
