Subject: [MAMIDDLE] 1772 Shipwreck : Where to look?

I have an ancestor, Dr. John WRIGHT, who is said to have died in June 1772 in a shipwreck off the coast of Ghana. He was born 1726 in Scotland, and had lived in Cambridge most of his adult life.

Where would I look to find out the name of this ship, and more about the wreck?
