Ebenezer5 Sprague (Edward4, John3, Ralph2, Edward1) was born Nov 6,
1701 in Malden, MA and died 1756 in Groton, MA. He married Eunice
Montague. Notes for Ebenezer Sprague: He died in 1756 in which year
he was taxed in Malden, MA, though he probably was living at the time
in Groton.

He married Eunice Montague, who died in 1774 on the 10th of April, aged
sixty-seven. Oct 29, 1732 Ebenezer and wife were received into the
church in Groton from the church in Dedham, MA. In 1736, he moved to
Harvard, MA, and bought a farm situated on both sides of the road at
the old Lancaster and Stow Leg line, which he sold in 1744. He was
an inn-holder during the entire time he was in Harvard and was the first to
receive a retailer's license in the town. He moved back to
Groton in 1748. Children of Ebenezer Sprague and Eunice Montague:

i. Ebenezer6 Sprague, b. Jan 21, 1727/28; died Sept 9, 1754. He
m. Abigail Heaton June 10, 1754 in Swanzey, NH

ii. Nathan Sprague, b. Mar 21, 1731/32; died Oct 7, 1746.

iii. Eunice Sprague, b. Nov 16, 1733 in Harvard, MA.

iv. Anna Sprague, b. Sept 21, 1735.

v. Elizabeth Sprague, b. Aug 4, 1737.

vi. Mary Sprague, b. Dec. 28, 1739.

vii. Jemima Sprague, b. Oct 20, 1742; died Sept. 5, 1744.

Hezekiah5 Sprague (Edward4, John3, Ralph2, Edward1) was born May 16,
1707, and died April 29, 1740. He m. Elizabeth Avery Oct 30, 1729 in
Dedham, MA, dau of William Avery and Esther Hunting. Notes for Hezekiah
Sprague: He was eight years old when his father died; was
adopted by a family in Groton; he became a blacksmith living in Groton
and Dedham, MA.

He married Elizabeth Avery who ws the daughter of William and Esther
(Hunting) Avery of Dedham, Oct 30, 1729 by Rev. Samuel Dexter. His
estate settlement, Middlesex Probate #15066, was dated July 28, 1740.
He was admitted to the First Church of Dedham, Jan 14, 1728. Miss
Avery, May 19, 1728; both were dismissed to the church in Groton on
Oct 28, 1733. Children of Hezekiah Sprague and Elizabeth Avery:

i. Elizabeth6 Sprague, b. Sept 2, 1731.

ii. John Sprague b. Aug 22, 1733 in Dedham, MA; died May 13, 1813
buried in Plainville Cemetery, Wrentham, MA

iii. Jonathan Sprague b. Oct 30, 1735; died Mar 13, 1811 in Gill, MA.

iv. William Sprague b. Mar 22, 1737/38; died Feb 6, 1782 in Philipston
MA

v. Hezekiah Sprague b. May 23, 1740 in Groton, MA; died Mar 31, 1795
in Bernardston, MA.

Hezekiah6 Sprague (Hezekiah5, Edward4, John3, Ralph2, Edward1) was born
May 23, 1740 in Groton, MA and died Mar 31, 1795 in Bernardston, MA.
He married Rachel Byam July 13, 1768.

Notes for Hezekiah Sprague: A carpenter and a farmer. Was the first
of the family to settle in Franklin County. Children of Hezekiah
Sprague and Rachel Byam:

i. Hezekiah7 Sprague, b. July 14, 1769.

ii. Stephen Sprague b. Jan 14, 1771.

iii. Elizabeth Sprague, b. Feb 15, 1772.

iv. Mary Sprague b.Jan 14, 1774. She married Joseph Green.

v. Asa Sprague b. 1775 in Guilford, VT; died in Gill, MA.

vi. Jose Sprague, b. May 8, 1777 in Guilford, VT; died Nov. 30,
1852 in Bernardston, MA.

vii. Apphia Sprague, b. Jan 19, 1783 in Bernardston, MA; died
Nov 11, 1867
