Sorry for so many postings. But, I forgot to mention that I am descended
from:
James KIDDER's son, John KIDDER, who married Lydia PARKER, daughter of
Abraham PARKER, of Woburn, MA. John and Lydia had a large property in
Chelmsford, MA, probably in the part of the original town which became the
Town of Lowell, MA. And, through their son, Thomas KIDDER, then of his
son, Joseph Kidder, then of his son, Calvin Kidder, and then of his (only)
son, J. Calvin Kidder, then of his son, Joseph Kidder, then of his son, G.
Sanford KIDDER.
G. Sanford KIDDER of Princeton, ME, married Louise RICE of Winchester, MA,
who was the granddaughter of .. Jacob Homer HUTCHINSON and Eliza Ann CROSBY
of Winchester, MA.
(Louise and Edith RICE were the only children of Charles Wellington RICE of
Eastport, ME, and Adelaide Crosby HUTCHINSON of Winchester, MA. Even
though Charles RICE was reportedly born and raised, as the youngest of 10
children of Daniel and Lucy RICE of Eastport and Lubec, ME, he seems .. to
have had some connection to Ashland, MA. Reportedly, he married Adelaide
HUTCHINSON in Ashland, MA. And, he died in that town in 1916, after
"separating" from Adelaide in the 1890's.)
Betty (near Lowell, MA)
"There are two lasting bequests we can give our children;
one is roots, the other is wings."
Hodding Carter, Jr.
