Hello Everyone, Looking for more information about the John White of
Billerica who married Mehitable French in 1741. I think he may have
been the oldest son of Ensign Mark White of Acton and Elizabeth Mousall.
If so, he was born in Charlestown on 6 June 1714. The marriage for
John and Mehitable was listed in the Concord VRs. Concord is right next
to Acton and Ensign Mark White's house is considered as being in Acton,
but it's mailing address is in Concord.
If this John White is the son of Ensign Mark White, he would be the
brother of my ancestor, Thomas White of Groton, MA who married Hannah
Faulkner. I have been trying to find out information about all of
Thomas's siblings, and his brother, John, has been the most elusive. If
anyone has any more information about this John WHite I would appreciate
hearing. I had run across a Nancy White who may have been a daughter,
but have never seen anything about a possible son, Daniel.
I am also trying to find more information about Ensign Mark White's
actual parents, as it has been pretty well proven that they were NOT
Peregrine White, Jr. and Susannah (---). I have checked all the land
records, court records, etc. that the Mayflower Society checked when the
Mark White line was listed as not being a Mayflower line in 1958.
Tanks for any help on either of these brickwalls.
