Hello,

I just thought I'd add an FYI: There was a TURNER man (or family) who
who went to live in what was then "the Sandwich Islands" in the 1800's.
The family might have moved back and forth between San Francisco, CA, and
what is now "the Hawaiian Islands."

A nephew of my ancestor, Joseph KIDDER, of Princeton, ME, was Charles KIDDER
of both ME and NB. Just before 1900, he left that area and moved to what
is now Honolulu, Hawaii. He married there and had a large family there.
His wife was a descendant of that Charles TURNER.

I'm sorry I don't have access to my notes right now.* But, I looked into
this family about a year ago, and placed queries about them on both the MA,
CA, and HI Lists.

Betty (near Lowell, MA)

*I moved to a new home recently, and my boxes of genealogy papers are still
taped up. I was waiting for another "snow day" to spend .. opening up the
boxes.
Do you think today qualifies ?

(I just heard Ch. 7 News say that Billerica got 20" .... I looked out my
front door, and it's a good thing my shovel is on the inside of that door.)

Every time a "BIG snowstorm" is forecast, everyone born before 1965 has
"visions" of "the Blizzard of 78." Now, we have to get used to saying,
"the Blizzard of 05." Somehow it doesn't have the same ring to it.
Maybe it will .. when we get to the year .. 2020 !
:o)

> Records from the Glenwood Cemetery in Maynard show a John Turner,
1850-1920, husband of Ella (or Eliza or Alice Wood/Woods) father of Moses,
Madeline, and Henry Turner. Also have a John W. Turner, 1888 - 1971. Does
this sound like it might be your family?
