Josiah upham & Judith Train both of Weston has thier [sic] Intentions
of marriage Published in sd town on the 30th, day of January 1731-2.

Watertown Genealogies, Middlesex Co VR CD vol 1:611ff
"John Upham, probably the ancestor of all the families of that name in
New England, adm freeman Sept 2, 1635, then resident of Weymouth, and
is supposed to have come to America that year with the Rev. Joseph
Hull, and the other families who first settled that town"

Thomas m Elizabeth (?Webb)
son Lieut Phinehas Upham, m Malden Ap 14 1658 Ruth Wood

Phinehas' son Thomas settled in Reading. He, then of Malden m 1st in
Topsfield 1693 Elizabeth Hovey. He m. 2d Mary ___, who d Reading 1707,
age 33. His will dated Jan 13 1729/30 mentions Ruth Smith, [formerly
Ruth Smith] sons... Josiah. Four of these sons settled in Weston.

Josiah Upham, of Weston, son of Thomss [#16] of Readilng m Feb 16 1732
Judith Traine.

This would seem to get you back to an immigrant ancestory.
