Subject: [MAMiddle] GAVIN family in Waltham and Cambridge
Date: Wed, 25 Jul 2007 09:48:05 -0400
Hello,
My friend, Bob, has gotten me thinking about his grandparents again. He
is from a Peter GAVIN family in Waltham in the 1880 to 1920 timeframe, and
then from his son, James GAVIN's family in Cambridge in the 1920 census.
I've checked the archives and I don't know why I haven't posted on this List
before, or, if I did, I didn't find my posting on a quick search. There
is information in the archives of the MA List, and on the GAVIN List and
Boards.
I was just wondering if anyone is researching them.
>From a few years ago, I heard from another researcher saying there was a
David GAVIN family in Cambridge around the same time, but they were from
Nova Scotia. I believe that Peter GAVIN in Waltham came directly from
Ireland.

P.S. The wife of James GAVIN was Annie Mary Magdalene McLAUGHLIN, and I
haven't been able to find much about her. From the Census, she might have
arrived in the US around 1909, and married James around 1910.
I believe she was from an Ireland family but was living in England before
she came to MA.
