Jean,
It isn't your fault on the searches. Search engines just aren't set up for
doing genealogy. I first checked the surname list at MA-VitalRecords.org and
found no MAKERs. That only means towns with MAKERs in them haven't been
transcribed, yet. They will be.

Next, I checked the NEHGS 1600-1850 database and found quite a few. I am
simply pasting in the resuts. (I editted out the year and surname at the
beginning of the line and the links at the end. Also, the record type is
removed. This will be a mess, but you can look through and see if there is
anything that looks possible. There are others who have access to NEHGS and
can help. I won't be able to do any more until next weekend, so be sure to
post further enqueries to the list and not back to me.
