Hello, all...

Can anyone on the list tell me whether the birth, death, marriage records for 1918 are available at the Waltham Public Library. and if so, can you look through them yourself? I'm refering to the yearly bound volumes the cities and towns printed. We have been able to search through these types of volumes from other towns by visiting the libraries and speaking with the reference librarians - some are more accommodating than others, if the volumes need to be pulled from a storage room. Just wondering whether others on the list have experience with the Waltham Public Library?

We're searching for the birth parents of Ruth WATERS, born September 26, 1918. She was apparently placed with a foster family as a baby and later adopted by this family. The birth date is during the time period when the Influenza Pandemic was at its height in Massachusetts, so our suspician is that she may have been orphaned soon after her birth, but we have no concrete evidence of this.

Thanks for any information anyone can share...

Eileen
