Hi Dennis,
My husband's grandmother came over from the Azores at Age 12 to work for 7
years with a family on Beacon Hill. She told her children and
grandchildren that she saved enough money at her job to have her mother and
siblings come over. I think she came over in 1905 and her mother and
sister came over in 1912 - around the same time as her marriage in
Cambridge.
