The only possibility would be

b. 1641, Watertown
Now - Bond's Watertown
p.263
John Grout settled in Watertown and in 1642 was a proprietor of a homestall
of 13 acres and 7 other lots.
By his wife, Mary _____he had
1. John Grout b. Aug 8, 1641.
2. Sarah Grout b. 1643.
Soon after this he moved to Sudbury and m. (2) Sarah Cakebread and had
several children.

Thomas Eames, immigrant ancestor of one of the oldest families of
Framingham, Mass., was born in
England about 1618 and came to America in 1634. He was a soldier in the
Pequot war in 1637. In 1640
he was an inhabitant and proprietor of Dedham, Mass. He removed to Medford
where he was living, from
1652 to 1659, occupying the water mill on the Mystic side, Charlestown, then
Woburn. He then moved to
Cambridge where he owned a house and eight acres of land east of the Common.
He sold his property
there Feb 10, 1664 to Nicholas Wyeth and removed to Sudbury where he leased
Mr. Pelham's farm and
lived until 1669. He settled finally in Framingham he built his house and
bar, though he attended church
at Sherbourn and was recorded as an inhabitant there January 4, 1674. During
p.215 MIDDLESEX COUNTY.
King Philip's war, Feb. 1, 1676, his wife and several children were killed
or taken captives. He held the
office of Selectman and was on various important committees before coming to
Framingham. He died
suddenly Jan. 25, 1680. He m. (1) Margaret _____ and he m. (2) Mary
Paddlefoot, the widow of Jonathan
Paddlefoot and dau. of John Blanford of Sudbury; she was killed by Indians,
February, 1676. Children:
1. John Eames b. May 16, 1641; died September 17, 1641.
2. John Eames (again) b. Oct 6, 1642; d. December 14, 1733; m. (1) Mary
Adams. He m. (2) Elizabeth

Nathaniel Eames, son of Thomas1 Eames was born in Sudbury, Mass., Dec. 30,
1668; died Jan 1,
1746. He built in 1693, the eastern part of the Jonathan Eames house, which
was preserved until 1886
when it was torn down. When a child, he was captured by the Indians with
others of the family, but re-
gained his freedom. In 1699 he petitioned the General Court to have his
lands remain a part of Natick
instead of Sherborn. July 27, 1710 he was taxed to secure a stock of
ammunition for the colony. He
was on the school committee in 1717-18; the church committee in 1726; and a
Selectman 1726-27.

Nathaniel Eames son of Nathaniel (2) Eames was born at the old Jonathan
Eames place on the
Framingham-Sherborn-Natick line April 18, 1703 and lived there all his life.
He died Mar 13, 1796.
He was a Corporal in Capt. Isaac Clark's company of troopers from Aug 21, to
Sept. 18, 1725 in the Indian
war service and again in 1757 was in the French war in Capt. Eames' company.
He was one of the Petitioners for a new meeting house in 1730. He m. Nov.
27, 1735, Rachel Lovell of Medfield who died
Oct. 19, 1778 aged 68 years. Children:
1. Benjamin Eames b. Sept 15, 1737; died young.
2. Nathaniel Eames b. July 31, 1739; died young.
3. William Eames b. Feb 21, 1741; died young.
4. Ann Eames b. Aug 6, 1744; died young.
