Hello,

About 2 weeks ago, I heard of a genealogy society in MA which I did not
know about. And, I got an e-mail from an historical society mentioning an
event that weekend that others might be interested in. And, I know of
several genealogy societies that other people don't know about. Etc.
So, I thought that maybe a List should be started up - providing a place
where people could discuss genealogy societies and historical socities that
researchers know about. And, researchers could announce events and "news"
about societies.

Last week I asked that this new List be started, and it was approved.

I also think it would be a good place for the announcing of events or news
at local Libraries - which are of interest to researchers !

And, it would be a good place to announce "Re-enactments." And, possibly
you know of an event at a Cemetery researchers might be interested in.

By the way, this would be for all of New England !
