A half-dozen old photos of Lowell are among more than 3,000 digital images
the national library has posted on the popular online photo-sharing service
Flickr, and viewers are asked to comment on them. The pictures come from the
archives of the Farm Security Administration/Office of War Information and
the George Grantham Bain News Service.

The library wants to gather as much information as possible. To view the
photos on Flickr, go to www.flickr.com/photos/Library_of_Congress. To
identify and comment on the photos, you will need to sign up for a Flickr
account. Or, you may send comments directly to the library at
www.loc.gov/rr/print/catdataform.php.

Hello,

In this morning's "Lowell Sun" they have "old photos" which the Library of
Congress is releasing. They are asking for the public's help to identify

the people in the photos.

www.lowellsun.com

I just checked the on-line version of the newspaper and you can't see the
photos - there - but you can see them IF you have FLICKR,

http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=Lowell&w=8623220%40N02

Or, perhaps you can go to the web site for the Library of Congress / Photos
and search for "Lowell."

Actually, I just went to the web site and see you have to use FLICKR to see
the photos there.

(Is anyone researching the CORKILL, CORKHILL, or COCKILL name ?)
