This is also a good idea;
I have been trying to locate the Ebenezer Trask family history and I can get
it through inter-library loan but would prefer to locate one I could buy. I
know we are not supposed to put sale items on this list but we could certainly
put "wish to seek out" items...
The Haverhill Public Library has two semi-annual book sales and (as a
volunteer) I would try to scoop up anything and get it to the historical section; one
actually was a paper manuscript and it had wood cut (design/ pictures) so
the library decided to enter it into the permanent collection. There is also a
Fiske Library in Seattle and they routinely have a newsletter "friends" of the
library and they list items that they have that are surplus so I scan those
but have never come across the Ebenezer Trask genealogy.
Also, at Haverhill Library when it was functioning under Greg's careful
guidance, they had a cart of books for sale and I would often try to post one; then
the person wanting it would contact Greg -- but this was on a voluntary,
random basis. A more structured way of doing this is
what you are proposing? I for one appreciate your ideas.
