Does this apply to the earlier index as well. I am looking for something
from 1811.

you need to call the Courthouse in Woburn and request ti by mail. I
did that with a will.

Jack, Footnote has no matches for Umberto Giannelli (I tried four
spellings), so that was disappointing. (It is free to search, by the
way. If you find something, you can ask me to look up the image for
you.)
I looked up Giannelli (4 spellings) in the MA Vitals to 1910 to see if
there might be other siblings, but none of these (where the image was
available) match the names you give below:
Last Name First Name Town/Village Year Vol Page Type
Giannelli Amedio Boston 1909 589 193 Marriage
Giannelli Angelo Antonio Medford 1908 576 597 Birth image not available
Giannelli Anna Boston 1910 593 3 Birth
Giannelli Antonetta Boston 1909 589 44 Marriage
Giannelli Fedele Boston 1907 573 335 Marriage
Giannelli Federico Boston 1908 577 145 Birth
Giannelli Gaetano Earl Medford 1909 583 587 Birth image not available
Giannelli Maria P. Boston 1904 549 25 Marriage
Gianelli Angelo Boston 1902 531 309 Death
Gianelli Annie Clinton 1906 560 271 Birth
Gianelli Carogila Boston 1904 22 364 Death
Gianelli Ferdinando Medford 1907 571 617 Marriage [b. Montefalcione, Italy]
Gianelli Ferdinando Boston 1907 573 200 Marriage
Gianelli Peter Springfield 1904 87 514 Death [age 37, unknown parents,
married, poor home in Springfield MA]

the name of Raffael. His fathers name was Luigi Giannelli and his mothers
Maria Caterina Frediani. He was supposed to have settled in the Boston area.
I don't know what year he came to this country. I have checked Ellis Isle
and Boston passenger lists the Raffael's listed the ages are off or they did
not come from that part of Italy or going to Boston. This one I found in the
1940 city directory for Everett I hope is him. I searched for Umberto found
a couple , but they were not him.

So you no longer go into Cambridge to the Court House there? (Is that
the one that moved to Woburn?)
Thanks,
Susan
