Betty,
I had a few moments here, in between studies, to open: "Bio.Dict.of the
Young's 1600-1870", Louis Ryder Young. Othaniel Young is not included. That
said the problem is quite compounded as the fore names you provide are
duplicated by the 10's/per, throughout her work. Given that there may have
been error, makes for more challenges. Do you have the Surnames of wives? Do
you have birth dates or death dates?

Someone has brought up the YOUNG name on the MAMiddle List. (Oops..
actually I did.) :o)

Anyways, I just went back to an old posting of mine from 5 years ago and
retrieved the family-line of an Abner YOUNG of 1800's Killingly, CT. This

is part of my posting. I'm offering it now as an FYI for current
researchers. See below. (I had joined the YOUNG List for a short time

back then.) (I don't have this document handy, so cannot do any look-ups

this week.)

Through a round-a-bout way, I have obtained a Xerox copy of a home-made
"family-history booklet" on a YOUNG family.

The "line" written about goes: John YOUNG to Joseph YOUNG to James YOUNG
to David YOUNG to Othaniel YOUNG to Israel YOUNG to Jonathan YOUNG to Abner
Seth YOUNG to Earle Austin YOUNG to Winthrop Abner YOUNG (the author of the
booklet).

This line went from Eastham and Orleans, MA, to Providence and Smithfield,
RI, to Scituate, RI, to Killingly, CT, to West Haven, CT.

The author, Winthrop YOUNG, stated that there was a lot of mis-information
on the YOUNG line described above. I have not read the document yet, but
it looks like he spent many years doing the research. Winthrop died in
1997. He did list the current family members, but not their current
locations.
