Christine,
Anne answered my post and reminded me of an unaccounted for Mary Waterman
who may be our girl. I checked my notes and have her.
The division of the estate of Samuel Waterman (son of John Waterman & Ann
Sturtevant), dated 24 Dec. 1718, mentions Anne & Mary Waterman, daughters by
his "first wife" <Plymouth Co. PR 5:153>.
Samuel had married 1st at Taunton, 26 July 1692, Mercy Ransome <VR 2:498>
and had a daughter Annah born at Plymouth, 7 Dec. 1693 <VR:14>. Mary was
born before 3 Aug. 1697 when her mother Mercy (Ransome) Waterman died
<VR:135>. Samuel Waterman went on to marry 2nd, by 23 Sept. 1703 <Plymouth
VR:14>, Bethiah (?Bryant).
Thus, Mary Waterman, born probably between 1695-97, is the right age to
marry Nathaniel Cobb in 1720, lived in Plymouth where the marriage took
place and is otherwise unaccounted for which makes her an extremely good
possibility.
Susan.
