Hi Jeanne, I was waiting on a reply from a Leonard who isn't a
genealogist but has Manning Leonard's book on desc. of
Solomon Leonard. (His father is listed in the book.) Here is
what he found. Evidently the only info Manning could find was
the below.

"Re Epharim:

It goes Solomon (1st generation), Jacob, (2nd gen.) Joseph
(3rd gen) and Ephraim. (4th gen.) Empram has a brother Joseph.
About Ephraim: Born probably in Bridgewater before 1700.
Married Sept.16, 1720 to Martha Perkins. Ephraim was a
merchant or as called in the deeds of conveyance of
that period "Dealer" in Bridgewater.

His store was about where the post office was then located, on
Central Street. He was a large buyer and seller of real estate
around the center of the village. His name is listed as a
witness on many deeds of the time. He failed in business, lost
his property, and with his family, except one or two daughters,
moved to Hopewell N.J. about 1740. Doesn't say when he died."

Certainly got conflicting information there!

Good luck,

-Fran
