Esther was a sister of Jonathan/2 - not his daughter. Davis' Ancient
Landmarks of Plymouth says John/1 BARNES was father of Esther (BARNES)
RICKARD.

Esther Barnes, wife of John Rickard is not a daughter of John Barnes and
therefore not the sister of Jonathan2 Barnes. In his 1668 will, John Barnes
refers to her as his "kinswoman" - not his daughter. The identity of Esther
Barnes has yet to be found.

Ancient Landmarks by Davis is not a reliable source and should be used with
caution.
