hi,
i am doing this research because my house sits upon what was once BARDEN
land. i live in the Barden Hills section of M'Boro.
i've traced our home/early land back to Scot BARDEN, son of John BARDEN &
Hannah CHAMBERLAIN. the deed i'm referring to was transferred (from Scot B.) in
1848.
before that deed (as well as that deed itself) , they no longer mention
previous deeds. thus, i have all of the deeds scot has bought/inherited ... and
hope to find a link between our land and the once BARDEN lands (much larger
then). one day i hope to get the correct link back ... and hope to get the
correct deed from the original settler from the Indians.
last year, SKS helped me get his (Scot's) ancestors, which were: Scot BARDEN
(1782), John (1739/40), Ichabod (1705), John (1667/8) and William, b. (many
dates, 1624-1633) in either England or in New England.
since i am pulling several BARDEN deeds to try to get the right part of his
land, it does have me curious where William BARDEN (who m. Deborah BARKER) was
from. i'm sure this is a boring question to those in this list for a long
time ... but ... does anyone have William's correct birth date, place of birth,
and immigration information (what ship, what year, where did he first live,
etc.)?
thanks.
