Hera -

The correct date is 06-Jan-1779 (Plymouth VR 383). Their intention was
published at Plymouth 05-Dec-1778, but that intention is listed in the town
records immediately after an intention dated 12-Feb-1779 (Plymouth VR 267).

Note that this birth is not found in Plymouth VR, but since it was recorded
by the Bridgewater Town Clerk as taking place in Plymouth the parents
probably removed to Bridgewater soon after Polly's birth. Mitchell does not
specify when they removed.

I have no idea whatsoever - I do not find his birth in the published VR of
any of the Massachusetts towns.
