Please several enquiries about the ex French Merchant Ship m/v VILLE DE

she was built N° 277 in 1970 by the French Shipyard disappeared since
(1987) Chantiers Navals de La Ciotat at La Ciotat (13600) near
Marseilles in the South of France on the Mediterranean Sea.

for the French Shipowner Compagnie Havraise & Nantaise Péninsulaire
disappeared also (1/1/1993) - Flag French

1980 sold to Maritime Co. Overseas Inc. renamed MAYON - Flag Panama

1983 same name Maritime Co. of Philippines Inc. - Flag Philippines

- 2/9/1984 stranded near Cebu? (in the Miramar data)

any details about this casualty? does she salves herself? or with the
assistance of tug(s)? maybe with the help of the tide? no damages? if
any where she was repaired?

no information for this casualty in the Marine News issues 1984 - 1985 &
1986 of the World Ship Society,

nor in the book "Les 110 Ans de la Havraise Péninsulaire HISTOIRE DE LA
FLOTTE" by Charles Limonier published in 1992 edited by Editions P.Tacussel
and the French magazine (scuttled recently) "Navires & Marine Marchande
N°51 Avril 2012" feature "Sur la route des îles:les 130 ans de la NCHP"

she appears to have been sailed illicity to Taiwan (MN August 1988 p 497
& also in the book) any information?


she is reported to have been sold to Incom Ltd. and resold by them to
Bangladesh Shipbreakers (MN October 1989 p 618P)

renamed INCO 121 - Flag St. Vincent

to Indian Shipbreakers Amar Ship Breaking Corp. and arrived at Alang
24/11/1989 from Kaohsiung and not Bangladesh breakers as ealier intended
(MN March 1990 p 185 & August p506)
