Nicholaus MARTIN b. 21 Sept. 1832 Hauptkirchen, Germany d. 10 Sept 1919 m.
Anna MUELLER d. 22 Oct. 1927.

I know they immigrated before 1881 at the least b/c they have a daughter,
Rosa b.18 Sept 1881 in St. Marks, KS. I think they came from IA or MN
possibly Pennsylvania

Now, this Nicholaus' father was Nick Martin b. 20 Nov 1794 m. Elizabeth
Berresheim. I'm thinking somewhere in or around Hauptkirchen since thats
where Nicholaus was born. I don't have know any of Nicholaus' siblings.
Also, Nicholaus named his son Nicholas (w/o the "u") He was born in 1865 in
Hauptkirchen but was married in St. Marks, KS in 1893

Hello Emily....

There is 4 Nicholas MARTIN's in the 1850 Indiana
Census Records, 3 in the 1860 Records and 1 in the
1870 Records.... Can you tell us a little more about
your Nicholas and his family? Perhaps his approx age,
possible birth place and maybe a spouses name? The
Nicholas in the 1870 Census Records was born in
Switzerland and doesn't appear to be connected to any
of the others... Other birth places are France,
Pennsylvania and Tennessee.
