There is little I know of the elder Thomas Martin...He married Ellen Duffy in
Faribault, Mn. in 1877. He died in a RR accident in Columbia Falls, Mt. in
1893. This same year, I suspect their last child was born and named Thomas
J. Martin. I believe all of their children were born in Mn. I believe the
elder Tom worked for the RR...possibly, and only possibly, the GNRR (Great
Northern RR). I located a Thomas A. Martin in the St. Paul, Mn. City
Directory 1890-91 - a switchman. That would fall in line with the John M.
White I located in the same directory. I really have not done a wholehearted
search for "Tom", as I have direct interest in his wife Ellen Duffy Martin
White.
I am however, very interested in making contact with their children's
children and so on.
As for the son, Thomas J. Martin....he was living with his Mother Ellen in
1920 in
BonnersFerry, Boundary Cty., Idaho. When Ellen died in 1932, son Tom was
responsable for her funeral expenses and was still living in BonnersFerry.
