Does anyone have any information that would tie these three families
together? They are families 729, 730, and 731, all in Murphy TWP. All
from the 1850 Cherokee County, NC, census.

In 1860, John M. Martin has living with him one Fanny Martin, age 83,
listed as a widow. So I am assuming that Benjamin and Frances in the
1850 census are his parents.

But in 1850, at 74, Frances is a bit old to have children that are even
25 years old (Frances #2). So who do these young adults belong to? And
family 731 - Adalaide Martin listed a head of household - with 5 more
people who can not be her children.

Anyone with any ideas/facts out there who can put this puzzle together?
Would love to hear from you.
