Margaret E. MARTIN was born 1820-1825 in probably Moore, Chatham or Anson
County, NC. In 1840-1845 she married Samuel GILMORE. They are found with
their family in the 1850 Moore County census and in 1860 in the Anson County
census. Samuel GILMORE was kia on August 21, 1864, near Charles Town, WV,
while serving with Co I, 43rd NC Inf Regt, CSA. Margaret E. Martin GILMORE
received a confederate widow's pension in Anson County, until she died in
Anson County in 1893. This couple was my great great grandparents.

I have been unable to find any information on Margaret E. MARTIN'S parents
or siblings.
