RE: Ohio, I was contacted by a Christie Matchett, age 40 something now,
because we share the same name. She may also go by Christine. I don't
have current information for her, but probably she is listed somewhere.
We are in Scotland and Ireland until the end of July, and would love to
hear any information you might have about Matchetts there who emigrated
to Canada. My father, Bruce Douglas Matchett, was born in Vancouver in
1917. His father, Robert Matchett, was born in Alberta (I don't have
the year with me) and owned Matchett's shoe store with his father. His
grandparents came from Ireland and Scotland. I would be delighted to
see any information you have on the Matchetts from Ireland to Canada,
as my grandfather's brother kept the information about family history,
and we never had access to them. I would be very interested in
following up on any leads that would be useful when I am in Ireland.
