Jessie,

Do you have the names of Edmund Mathis (Matthis) children? If so We would
all be interested in knowing.

Edmond Mathis(Matthis) had a Plantation in Duplin County (now Sampson)NC.He
came from the Isle Of Wight VA and settled in NC about 1745. His father was
Ezeakel Mathis(Mathews) of Isle of Wight, VA.

His son Rice was my great-greatgrandfather. He left 18 of his 19 living
children a slave when he died in 1783.
