Jean,
By any chance is there a Captain Isaac Matthews, born 29 May 1744,
died 2 Sept 1820, married Lydia Reed. Their son Amos Matthews born 23
Mar 1792, died 21 Mar 1858, married Sarah Barnaby Kirby, born 30 Sept
1802, died 21 Feb 1853. Their daughter Sarah Jane Matthews born 20 Feb
1849, married Henry Martyn Seely born 2 Oct 1828. I know this last
generation was located in their later years in the Syracuse, NY area.
Are any of these in the bibles you acquired? Thank you. Grace Fox

Hi~~my name is Jean S, and I'm new to this list. Yesterday I went to an
estate sale and found TWO Bibles with
Matthews info.
One has the family history, and the other has the Service Record of
two Matthews men~~~
I'll give these to whoever wants them~~just pay the postage.
I looked sooo hard, and couldn't find any of my Fox/Nichols bunch!!!
Oh well, anyone?
