Can anyone identify the location of the property bought in 1744 by Nathaniel
Green in Worcester from Daniel Willard. Also, at the end there is a
restriction which repeats when he sells the property a few years later. This
is Nathaniel, the peruke maker, and his wife Lucy (Garfield) Green. The
Perch measurement was new to me.

I Daniel Willard of Worcester in the county of Worcester, housewright,
For and in consideration of the sum of One hundred & eighty pounds old tenor
to me in hand before the ensealing hereof, well and truly paid by Nathaniel
Green of said Worcester Wiggmakery, ... a certain tract or peice (sic) of
land situate in Worcester and near to the meet. house built by Coll.
Chandler. It contains by estimation about twenty square perches* of land
more or less and is eighty two feet on the street or high way and bound east
thereon, north on my own lands and south on my own land westerly on mill pond
on land of Mr. Cornel. Waldo the north Bounds are to extend as far north as
to the middle of the well and the north & south bounds are to be square with
the street or high way on which land is lately errected a house partly
finished together with all the boards and timber on the land stored? for the
road near said house & land.
..... Provided he do not dispose of same for building any meeting house or
publick place of worship thereon or in any part thereof with out the express
leave of the said Daniel Willard in writing under his hand & seal. In
witness whereof I have hereto set my hand & seal Nov. 22 1743. Daniel
Willard and signed, sealed in presence of Zachariah Harvey?(Avery?), John
Chandler, Worcester Nov. 23, Daniel Willard the grantor acknowledged
this instrument to be his act and deed before me John Chandler Just. Peace.
Nov. 23 1743. Rec’d and accordingly entered and executed. John Chandler
30 1/4 sq. yds. = 1 square rod (or square pole or square perch)
