Subject: [MAWORCES] Researching female name (b 1792)

Lists,
I am new to the MA lists and my research focus is my gr3grandparents:
Ira MUNSELL b 1790 VT (prob Rupert or Dorset) d 1857 Hamilton Co IL
Vilaty UNKNOWN b 1792 MA d 1843 Hamilton Co IL
I am writing to see if anyone has come across the name *Vilaty* in their
research of this same time period. If so, would you share the family
information with me?
I'm trying to find Vilaty's full name, family, and exact place
of birth. I think "Vilaty" is her first name (probably a corruption of
"Violette" or "Violetta" ???), not her surname. Her tombstone notes she
was born in MA. Both her daughter *and* granddaughter (both b 1843)
were named Sarah V.L.. The granddaughter was called "Sarah V. L." or
"Sarah Viletta" and and the daughter was called "Leticia".
So far in my searches of early MA vitals of this period, I haven't come
across the name "Vilaty" at all. I haven't come across this name until
the early 1800s.
The name Vilaty is unusual enough that I'm willing to research any
family with the name "Vilaty" in it matching the DOB I have (ca 1792).
Would be most grateful if anyone could provide any clues to the
name "Vilaty" in this early period.
Thanks in advance,
Cordah Robinson
