This final part is wholly comprised of Anne WATERS and her family from
husband Ebenezer FOSKETT.
(7) Anne WATERS, daughter of John WATERS (6) was born in Sutton,
Mass., May 20, 1791. She married in West Sutton on July 4, 1820 to
Ebenezer FOSKETT, born in Charlton, Mass., March 8, 1787. He was a
farmer and spent his whole life on the old FOSKETT homestead in
Charlton, where Ebenezer FOSKETT, of Stoneham, settled in 1739, and
where Dan FOSKETT lives now (1905). He died in Charlton on Oct 14, 1860
and Anne (WATERS) FOSKETT continued to live on the old place until her
death on Sept 23, 1875 in Charlton. Their children were:
#1 Harriet, born April 3, 1821, died at Webster on June 17, 1894;
married in 1851 to Reuben T. EDDY, son of Joel and Sally (THURSTON)
EDDY. He was born in Oxford on Dec 7, 1811. He had a meat market in
Webster. He died in Webster on July 3, 1876. He had married (1st) on May
24, 1837 to Dulcinea CONVERSE of Spencer, who died March 10, 1846 and
they had 3 children: Anna Marie, Byron Edgar & Lewis Elmer.
#2 Samuel Waters FOSKETT was born on Dec 29, 1823 in Charlton. He was a
teacher, photographer and carpenter. A member of Trinity Methodist
Episcopal Church. Married in Charlton on Dec 8, 1855 to Georgianna
MASON, daughter of Ephraim Hubbard and Prudence (HILLS) MASON, born in
Putney, VT on May 9, 1830 and died in Worcester on Jan 27, 1892. Their
children were: 1) Dr. George Mason FOSKETT, born Oct 26, 1856 2) Ann,
born Dec 8, 1860; married July 29, 1905 to Charles R. STOBBS of Webster
3) Dr. Eben FOSKETT, born Jan 14, 1894 in Charlton; married in Worcester
on Oct 14, 1897 to Flora Gertrude FAY, adopted daughter of Winthrop
Baxter and Elizabeth (WATSON) FAY. She was born in Jamaica Plain, Boston
on March 10, 1868. His children born in New York City are : Winthrop Fay
FOSKETT, born Feb 4, 1899 and Elizabeth born Feb 8, 1900 and Eben
Maxwell FOSKETT born June 1904.
#3 Tamma FOSKETT, born Aug 15, 1825, died in Charlton on April 30, 1855;
married 1853 to Whitman B. POTTER, a Charlton farmer; he went West in
1856 and settled in La Crescent, Minn. They had 1 child, Amelia Tamma
FOSKETT, born in Charlton on March 24, 1855 and married in 1872 to
George MARTIN.
#4 Mercy FOSKETT, born June 25, 1826; engaged in sale of millinery and
fancy goods at Southbridge, Mass. In 1858 she removed to Worcester;
unmarried.
#5 John, born March 28, 1828, died at Webster on June 6, 1898; married
1869 to Betsey A. DOCKHAM. He was a farmer at Charlton, removed to Lake
Village, NH in 1872. Moved back to Webster later and died there. His
children were: Annie; Augusta; Harrison Brown FOSKETT; John Waters
FOSKETT and Herbert FOSKETT.
#6 Samantha, born Nov 1, 1829; for some years had a millinery store at
Webster; later kept house for her brother John and brought up his
children; removed in 1902 to North Wilmington, Mass.; unmarried
#7 Dan, born Feb 11, 1833; married in Worcester on Sept 26, 1862 to
Milla Antoinette DAVIS, daughter of Samuel and Chloe (SIMPSON) DAVIS,
who was born in Paxton on Feb 14, 1843. He is the 5th FOSKETT in direct
line to occupy the old homestead of Ebenezer FOSKETT, bought in 1734,
and he has 12 children.
#8 Eliza, born April 26, 1835; taught school some years and afterwards
was a nurse in Webster and Lowell; removed in 1896 to Worcester where
she lived with her sister Mercy,and died there on Oct 30, 1902.
