Ruth M. (POTTER) FLAGG, 91, died Nov. 12, 2003 in UMass Memorial
Hospital after an illness. Her husband of 64 years, Maro P. FLAGG died
in 1995.
She leaves 3 sons, James M. FLAGG and Maro P. FLAGG, Jr. both of
Sterling, and Arthur FLAGG, of West Boylston; 6 daughters, Bette L.
MITCHELL, of West Boylston, Jane L. HOUGHTON and Marilyn R. ETHIER, both
of Sterling, Mary Ann HIMMER, of Holden, Sandra CARROLL, of West
Boylston, Christine WICKSTROM, of Southbridge; and many, many great and
grand children & etc.
Two brothers and 3 sisters predeceased her.
Born in Charlton to Orrin and Clara (HOLT) POTTER. Graduating from
Commerce High School, Worcester. She lived in West Boylston for 70
years. She and her husband owned and operated the former FLAGG Funeral
Home on Central Street in West Boylston for over 40 years.
A member of the First Congregational Church and past president of the
Women's Auxillary of VFW Post 6907 in West Boylston.
Funeral held at the First Congregational Church, 26 Central St., West
Boylston. Burial in Mount Vernon Cemetery.
