Lisa, you are right on with your reply. I sent the following to Scott:

"Scott, I don't know from your post how familiar you are with Worcester
County, but Mt. Wachusett is a very prominent point in the area. Many
things were referred to by the Wachusett name - especially for the area
around Mt. Wachusett covering: Barre, Boylston, East Princeton, Fitchburg,
Gardner, Holden, Hubbardston, Jefferson, Leominister, Princeton, Rutland,
Sterling, Templeton, West Boylston, West Sterling, Westminster and
Williamsville. I grew up in Princeton and skied on Mt Wachusett before it
was a resort. We skied without benefit of any lifts and the niceties of
snackbars and restroom facilities. Usually 3 or 4 of us would ski together.
We used a 1950 Ford convertible with the rear window zipped open (it is hard
to believe that car is 54 years old now - if it is still around). We'd slide
our skis in the window and drive up the Mountain on the down road. 3 of us
would ski down the other skier would drive down and his turn would be on the
next trip."
