Kat,

I am not sure about online resources other than census and such, but the city directory would tell you if they lived in the city, the year, the address and occupation. I would check at your closest Church of Latter Day Saints Genealogical Center if the City Directories are available to them. If they are, you can order them and view them at the CLSG Center. There is a minimal charge for the order.

If I can pin down the location of the Declaration of Intent records, I would be making a trip to Worcester to get a copy. I would also be going to the Library in Worcester where they have the directories. I would be willing to look them up for you. However, it would be a couple of weeks before I get there.

Lizette

PS Check the US Census for 1850. They might be in there.

I also had Irish relative that lived in Worcester in the 1840's, I do not
know how long they were there. Alice Kane (Kain) born in Belfast, Ireland abt
1819 married Benjamin Smith Currier in New Haven CT. in 1839. Their first
two children were born in Conn., third in Maine and last two Mass in 1847 and
1849. In 1850 Alice Currier lived with her five children in Dana, Worcester,
Mass - Benjamin had left for California for the gold rush. I live in
California. Do you know of any on line resources for Mass, that I might search? I
do not know at what time Alice and the kids came to CA to meet up with
Benjamin.
Any suggestions?
Any birth records available?
Any city directories that might help me pin down the date they left?
Kat
