Merchant-Politician's Family, 1841-1845 (McGill-Queen's University Press, 1995) .


Eastern Townships Historian and author JACK LITTLE has written a wonderful
book of letters of BIGELOW descendants MARCUS CHILD, ESQ., and wife LYDIA
CHADWICK (both born in Worcester County, Massachusetts) & both were grandchildren of
DAVID BIGELOW and DEBORAH HEYWOOD of Worcester, and were first cousins.
MARCUS CHILD's mother was LYDIA BIGELOW and LYDIA CHADWICK's mother was
DOROTHY BIGELOW, both daughters of DAVID BIGELOW and DEBORAH HEYWOOD.

The book features the letters of MARCUS CHILD a politician, businessman of
Stanstead County and his daughter ELIZABETH HOWARD CHILD in the 1840s.
(ELIZABETH HOWARD CHILD married LEWIS L. SLEEPER, ESQ., the brother of my 2 great
grandfather WRIGHT SLEEPER)

It is quite a wonderful book about what it was like living in that period .
I just obtained this book and another directly from the author JACK LITTLE.
