WORCESTER--Katherine S. (SPLAINE) NIELSEN, 61 of Pleasant Valley Dr.,
died Monday, July 26, 2004 after an illness. Her husband Roger A.
NIELSEN died in 1995.

She leaves a son, David PAUL of Virginia Beach, VA; (3) daughters,
Margaret C. SELIGMAN and Mary E. LINDFORS both of Holden, Betsey
KOSTRZEBA of Shrewsbury; (2) brothers, Andrew B. SPLAINE of Princeton
and John E. EVANS of Worcester; a sister, Sr. Paula Marie FSP of Jamaica
Plain; (5) granddaughters, Kristen, Amy, Anna, Emily ad Rachel; a
grandson, Eric; nieces & nephews.
A son, Michael C. NIELSON and a daughter Rogetta K. BODEN and a sister,
Paula SPLAINE, predeceased her.

She was born in Worcester, daughter of Paul W. and Mary K. (PERRY)
SPLAINE. She had worked for AdCare Hospital in Worcester. She enjoyed
sewing, crocheting, reading and crafts.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2004
in St. Francis Episcopal Church, 70 Highland St., Holden. Burial to
follow in Grove Cemetery. Miles Funeral Home is directing arrangements.
