Frederick WHITIN, sorry.
(8) Henry T. WHITIN, son of Charles E. WHITIN (7), was born at North
Uxbridge, MA. Educated in the public schools and at Highland Military
Academy at Worcester.
He began as an apprentice in Whitin Machine Works and learned the
various branches of the business. He then went into his father's mill at
Rockdale and learned the business of making cotton goods with the
machinery he studied in the works. He became the superintendent of he
mill and finally treasurer of the Paul WHITIN Manufacturing Company.
He is a member of the local lodge of Freemasons and of the Worcester
County Commadery, Knights Templar. A member of the Tatnuck & Grafton
Country Clubs. He is chairman of the Republican town committee of
Northbridge an an active and earnest supporter of Republican policies
and candidates. He has served the town for many years as selectman and
in other positions.
He married Cora BERRY, daughter of Scotto BERRY whose ancestor settled
in Framingham, among the early settlers. Their children:

Island; having 2 children:: Theophilus Jr. & Paul Whitin PARSONS

(7) Albert H. WHITIN, son of James Fletcher WHITIN (6) was educated in
the public schools of his native town. He preferred the study of art &
literature to business and has devoted much of his time to this purpose.
He spends a large part of his time abroad. He is an Episcopalian in
religion. He has never married.

(8) James Earle WHITIN, son of George Milnor WHITIN (7) and grandson to
James Fletcher WHITIN (6) was born in North Uxbridge, August 14 1879. He
attended the public schools of his native town and St. Mark's School at
Southborough. He graduated at Phillips Academy and finished his
education with a course at the Philadelphia Textile School. In 1900 he
entered his grandfather's mill at N. Uxbridge (Rogerson Village) and
started to learn the fundamental principle of cotton manufacturing. He
passed from one department to another, mastering one by one the problems
of the work and the details of the business and has recently been
elected president and treasurer of the corporation. He belongs to the
Winter Club and Auto Club of Worcester.
He married June 6 1905 in Worcester to Edgeworth P. WHITTALL, daughter
of Matthew J. WHITTALL, the carpet manufacturer.
