Don, Mendon Airport is still there right off Route 16 on the way to
UXBRIDGE....Also Hopedale has its own airport...I remember taking a ride or
two through there when I was growing up...
Actually my children and I was forced to move to OKLA....In the 70's and
Someone there let me take over the controls and learn how to fly a 2
seater...We flew all around OKLA. and TEXAS...I had to run the controls and
keep the (wings) at a steady level...We practiced taking off and landing
about 30 times. I would NOT do it now BUT it was fun way back then....
