Mr. Sleeper was a business reporter for almost 4 decades for the
Portland Press Herald of Maine. He died Friday, Sept 8 2006 at 79 years.

He was a graduate of Harvard College and earned a master's degree from
American Univ. and Princeton Univ. He studied in Egypt on a Fullbright
scholarship before he was hired in 1953 for the Portland newspaper.

He leaves (2) sons. Bruce, of Portland and Eric of Princeton, NJ; he
also had (5) grandchildren.

Born in Worcester, MA and graduated from high school in Winchester, MA.
He died from prostate cancer.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday in St. Albans Episcopal
Church in Cape Elizabeth.
