Thank you, thank you! Great, positive information and I certainly
appreciate this.

I just got back today a letter from the Flower Library in Watertown, NY. It
tells me from someone's research notes that Quartus Carley, a son of Joseph,
Jr, I believe, married Rebecca Smedley there in Williamstown. The note says
she was born there and "married in the same place." Its reasonable to me,
she and all her family lived and stayed there. That marriage has to be
someplace around there. I hope it will show up.

In one of the records I found, someone had translated the name Joseph
Conley, but it's the same man as this one you sent. In other areas, and
earlier, this name is Kerley/Kerly, even Cearly in one. All the same
persons and family. I work with other Carley people, but no one is working
on this particular branch, except myself.

If the libraries there in Williamstown would want a copy of Jedediah
Smedley's Revolutionary War file, I would send one. Flowers Library has
asked for one and I can make a copy for Williamstown, too, if needed.

I didn't mention it, but where I'm located, it's as difficult to get records
on any NE state or NY, as pulling hen's teeth. Nearest library with
anything like we need is 125 miles away, but even it's not got a huge amount
of NE records. Rootsweb is super. But, Rootsweb is made up of great
volunteers. I thank all of you for helping us out.

There were neither Deaths nor Marriages included in the book under CARLY
(nor CARLEY).
