Without looking at the directory, I am sure it is the Draper Company -
in Hopedale. The buildings are still there, although the business is long
closed. Draper made the parts for the looms used in the textile mills.

Seems like everyone around here either worked at Draper or had a
relative who did.

The 1911-12 Milford/Hopedale city directory lists many people as
"emp. D. Co."

Apparently D. Co. was a large local employer, well known at that
time and place. Some of the employees are listed as machinists
in the 1910 or 1920 census.

Can someone tell me more of the name of the company, and what
it manufactured or sold?
