Hi Adele:

Anything is possible, so nothing should be ruled out completely without
checking, but prior to my retirement from the Worcester School Dept., it was
the practice to retain students' permanent records (such as their
transcript) for a period of 75 years.

Temporary records, such as disciplinary reports, attendance matters, etc.
were disposed of annually in an effort to protect the privacy of the student
body from possible court-sanctioned "fishing expeditions" through the
records of every student in an effort by a defense counsel to determine
whether his/her student-client was being treated "differently" with regard
to any infraction which might become the subject of legal action in a court
of law.
