Date: Sat, 02 Feb 2008 00:57:08 GMT
The prevalent epidemic of la grippe seems to be especially felt by aged people, and has been followed by the deaths of several of our oldest residents. Among them:
John Mason BRIGHAM, aged 83 yrs, for upwards of 50 years a well known citizen of Northville, whose funeral will take place tomorrow at 11 a.m. at his late residence, on the corner of Grove St. and Park Ave.
Also, Mrs. Ann Davis Hall MAYNARD, aged 81 yrs., widow of the late William G. Maynard, for many years a local undertaker. Her funeral will take place Thursday at 2 p.m. at her late residence, 9 Kingston Street.
John WARREN, aged 72 yrs, died in West Auburn Saturday. He was brother of Samuel Warren of this city and of the late Waterman G. Warren of Holden, and another brother, Rev. Jonah Goulding Warren, D.D., a prominent clergyman of the Baptist denomination, died several years ago in Newton. One brother still survives on the old homestead in Auburn, Elbridge G. Warren, formerly representative in the general court from that town. Their father, Samuel Warren, senior, a tanner, was a native of Leicester, and went from that town in early life to Auburn, where he married a daughter of Col. Jonah GOULDING, one of he most noted men of his time in that section
